Privacy Policy
This privacy policy provides for the treatment of personal information by WATCHNIAN Group Corporation (hereinafter, “the Company”) based on the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of 2003) of Japan.

2. Personal information that the Company obtains
The Company obtains personal information which includes the following:
(1) Information about WATCHNIAN members
The Company obtains personal information from those who have registered as members in relation to the services and goods provided by WATCHNIAN Group companies, namely Watchnian Group Corporation, Watchnian Corporation, Kaitori Watchnian Corporation and Ginzo Corporation (hereinafter “the Group”) in line with the Membership Agreement. For details, please refer to the Membership Agreement.
(2) Information about our business partners
The Company may obtain the following personal information about its business partners (executives and employees of the partners if they are corporations; hereinafter the same shall apply):
- ・Corporate name, personal name and title, address, telephone number, fax number, e-mail address, bank account number used for payment, and other information about the business partner
- ・Details of the transactions conducted between the business partner and the Company
- ・Details of various communications made between the business partner and the Company
The Company may obtain such information from each business partner or from public sources.
(3) Information about applicants for jobs provided by the Company
The Company obtains the following personal information about those applying to the Company for jobs.
- ・Name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and other contact information of the person
- ・Educational and occupational background and other details written on the person’s application forms
The Company may obtain such information from the person, third parties such as an employment agency and from public sources.
(4) Information about shareholders
The Company obtains personal information about its shareholders (executives and employees of shareholders if they are corporations; hereinafter the same shall apply) including the following:
- ・Name, address and other contact information
- ・Number of shares owned
The Company may obtain such information from each shareholder or from public sources.
(5) Information about those who have made inquiries to the Company
The Company may obtain the personal information of those who have made inquiries to the Company through its website and other channels, including the following:
- ・Name, telephone number, e-mail address and other contact information
- ・Inquiry details
- ・Information included in the documents submitted by the person for identification
The Company obtains such information directly from the person.
3. Intended use of personal information
The Company uses the personal information as mentioned above for the following purposes. The Company will not use such information beyond the scope of the intended use as notified to customers or as publicly announced without obtaining approval for such use from the customer, except for the reasons as approved under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan.
(1) Personal information of WATCHNIAN members

(2) Personal information of business partners
・Management of the business agreement and promotion of business negotiations
・ Execution of business, fulfilment of the agreement, and others
(3) Personal information of applicants to the Company for jobs
・Screening for employment
・Provision of information to and communication with the applicant
・Performance of operations related to the recruitment activities
(4) Personal information of shareholders
・Exercise of the rights and performance of the duties based on the Companies Act of Japan
・Provision of information to and communication with the shareholder
(5) Information about those who have made inquiries to the Company

4. Provision of personal information to a third party
(1) Shared use
The Company shares information about WATCHNIAN members and applicants to the Company for jobs across the Group.

(2) Provision of personal data to outsourcing companies
The Company may provide outsourcing companies (payment agencies, transportation companies and others) with all or some of the personal information obtained by the Company within the scope necessary for the intended use of the information as described above. In such a case the Company will exercise appropriate supervision over the management of the information by the outsourcing companies.
(3) Provision of personal information subject to approval
The Company may provide the personal information of a customer to a third-party subject to prior approval from the customer.
(4) Others
The Company may also provide a third party with personal information possessed by the Company in line with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan when such provision is required by laws and regulations or such provision is necessary to protect the life, wellbeing or property of an individual, but it is difficult to obtain approval for the provision from the person. Even in such a case, the Company will provide the information only within the necessary scope so that the privacy of the customer whose information is thus disclosed will be protected.
5. Cookies
The Company might obtain different types of information (IP address, terminal ID, location information, access log, browsing history and others) by using cookies and other similar technologies. In such a case, the Company will clearly state the fact on the website. The information thus collected includes information that is not personal information, and this policy shall be applied to personal information contained within the information.
6. Method to request the disclosure of personal data possessed by the Company
If you want to make any of the following requests regarding your personal data obtained by the Company based on the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan, please make it to the contact point indicated at the end of this privacy policy statement: request for the notification of the intended use of the data; request for the disclosure, correction, removal, deletion, and the suspension of the use of the data; and for the suspension of the provision of the data to third parties and for the disclosure of the record about the provision of the data to third parties. When receiving such a request through the contact point, we will inform you of the necessary procedures to be followed. Please note that you need to submit the identification documents as specified by the Company and pay the fees set in the amount equivalent to the actual cost to be incurred by the Company to meet your request. The Company shall use the identification documents submitted by you only for the purpose of responding to your request and will dispose of the documents immediately after the purpose is fulfilled.
7. Measures for managing the security of personal data
The Company will take necessary and appropriate security management measures to prevent leaks, losses and damage of any personal data obtained by the Company. The Company will also exercise necessary and appropriate supervision over the persons and outsourcing companies (and also their outsourcing companies) that handle the personal data obtained by the Company. The Company does not belong to any certified personal information protection organizations.
10. Procedures to make changes to the privacy policy
The Company will make changes to the policy as required.
In such a case, the Company will notify customers of the fact by posting the details of the revised privacy policy and when the revised policy will start to be implemented on its official website and through other appropriate means.
